Pediatric Chiropractic in Hanover

Children’s bodies do a lot of changing. From learning to crawl and walk to playground tumbles, sports, backpacks, and hours spent at a desk, each stage brings different physical demands.

At Moore Family Chiropractic, Dr. Terri Moore provides gentle chiropractic care for infants, kids, and teens. Her approach is warm and patient, with plenty of time for parents to ask questions and for children to become comfortable with what’s happening.

Why Might a Parent Bring Their Child to a Chiropractor?

Parents may seek a chiropractic evaluation when they have concerns about their child’s movement, posture, or musculoskeletal comfort. Depending on the child’s age and circumstances, this may include back or neck discomfort, postural concerns, or aches associated with activity and sport.

An evaluation helps us understand the child’s health history, current concerns, and physical findings before making any recommendations.

What to Expect at Your Child’s Visit

Going somewhere new can feel like a big deal for a child, so there’s no need to rush.
Dr. Terri begins by talking with the parent or caregiver about the child’s history and the reason for the visit. She then performs an age-appropriate examination and explains what she’s doing in language that both parent and child can understand.

When chiropractic care is recommended, the approach is adapted to the child’s age, size, examination findings, and comfort level. Techniques used with an infant aren’t the same as those that may be used with a teenager or adult.

Getting to Know Your Child Matters

Dr. Terri’s relationship-focused style is particularly well suited to working with families. Some kids are curious and want to know what everything does. Others need more time before they’re comfortable in a new environment.

She takes her cues from the individual child rather than expecting every appointment to look the same. Parents are kept involved, questions are welcome, and the goal is to make the experience as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
