Detoxing Your Body

When most people hear the word "detox" they naturally think of a drug addict who is now going through the process of detoxing his/her body from all the harmful drugs. What many people don not realize is that everyone, moms, dads, students, grandmothers, grandfathers, should go through a detox or purification program, whether or not you are a "drug addict" or not.

Why you might ask? Well, on a daily basis, each and every one of us, is exposed to countless numbers of toxins: the air we breathe, the soap we use to wash our bodies, the water we use to brush our teeth, the coffee or tea we drink, the processed cereal we have for breakfast, the pesticides in our food, the clothes we wear, the list goes on & on. Even if you are someone who has gone completely organic in your food choices, you are still exposed to toxins.

Although your body is designed to rid itself of these toxins, it can become overwhelmed & overburdened with the process. This is where detox or purification comes in. By detoxing your body you allow it to rest & rebuild it's inner environment.

Some of the symptoms of being toxic are:
